Where can I find my current LoanBeam credentials used for the Encompass SDK API?

As an Admin User -

  1. Open any loan file within Encompass
  2. Go to Services à Order Additional Services
  3. Select LoanBeam
  4. Once LoanBeam Order Verification opens, select “Company Setup”.

The LoanBeam Authentication box will open and will show the current account used for authentication

 - note: This user name is also configured in LoanBeam as a client admin user

What if I don’t know the password?

  1. A user with access to the email address that the current authentication is made under should go to https://secure.loanbeam.com and select “Forgot Password”.
  2. This will trigger a password reset request to be emailed to the user and the password can be updated.

IMPORTANT NOTE – If the user associated with the API authentication resets their LoanBeam password, the password needs to be immediately updated within Encompass under the LoanBeam authentication details. There will be a momentary loss in connectivity for all users until the password is updated in both LoanBeam and Encompass.

How do I change the credentials used for the Encompass API?

We do suggest using a Generic Email, specifically used only for connecting the Encompass API and LoanBeam, that multiple users have access to.
 - This will prevent issues with accidental, incomplete password resets or problems when a particular person exits a company.

If you want / need to update the username (email) used to connect Encompass to LoanBeam, you can update the UserName in the Encompass LoanBeam Authentication pop-up.
 - You can choose a different, existing LoanBeam client administrator user. OR
 - You can edit an existing LoanBeam user to make them an administrator and then update Encompass OR
 - You (a current LoanBeam client administrator) can create a new LoanBeam admin account for this purpose and then update Encompass

To edit an existing LoanBeam user or to create a new LoanBeam admin user, Login to LoanBeam and access the ADMIN section.  On the User tab you can choose to EDIT the user group of a current user (to make them an Administrator) or to add a NEW Admin user.

Notes on Transitioning from SDK to EPC

  • The existing credentials (User Name) can be used for the EPC connection
  • The existing API/Token key used for SDK, can be used in EPC.
  • Clients can choose to create a new / separate key for EPC.  Directions will be provided in the EPC user guide.
